Order Processing Time

Orders typically process within 1-2 business days after placement.

  • Orders placed Mon-Fri before 12pm CET are typically packed same day.
  • Orders placed Fri evening / weekend ship Monday.
  • Holiday seasons (Black Friday, Christmas) may extend processing 1-2 days.

Tracking

You'll receive a tracking link via email within 24-48 hours of placing your order. Tracking updates every 1-2 days as your package moves through carriers.

If tracking shows no movement for 7+ days, email support@brota-home.com — we'll investigate with the carrier.

Customs, Duties, and Taxes

Region

United States

We handle. No customs at delivery.

European Union (intra-EU)

We handle. VAT included in price.

United Kingdom

We handle (under £135). Customer responsible (over £135 may have import duty).

Mexico

We handle for orders shipping from US warehouses to Mexico under $50 USD value. Above that, customs may apply.

Canada · Australia · NZ · LATAM

Customer responsible for any customs/duties on import.

Other countries

Customer responsible.

We declare honest values on customs forms (no false-low declarations). Buyer is responsible for any duties their country applies. Refusing customs charges and abandoning the package does NOT entitle you to a refund.

Shipping Restrictions

Some products cannot ship to certain regions due to size, weight, or material restrictions:

  • Glass/ceramic items: not shippable to some Pacific islands (due to fragility insurance)
  • Acrylic furniture > 10kg: US/EU/MX only (other regions on request)
  • Outdoor lighting with electrical components: voltage compatibility check required for non-US/EU

Product pages flag any restrictions before purchase.

Delivery Address Changes

You can update your shipping address within 4 hours of placing your order. Email support@brota-home.com with your order number ASAP.

After 4 hours, the order is being prepared and address changes may not be possible. If the package returns to us due to incorrect address, we'll re-ship at standard rate ($9.99-$19.99 depending on origin).

Lost or Damaged in Transit

Lost: If your tracking shows "delivered" but you don't have the package, check with neighbors / front desk within 48 hours. If still missing, email support@brota-home.com — we file a carrier claim and issue a replacement or refund within 7 business days.

Damaged: Take photos within 48 hours of delivery and email support@brota-home.com with order number + photos. We send a replacement or full refund (your choice). In most cases you don't need to return the damaged item.

Holiday Shipping Cutoffs

For Christmas / December holidays:

  • US deliveries: order by December 15 for delivery by 24-Dec
  • EU/UK deliveries: order by December 10 for delivery by 24-Dec
  • International: order by December 1 for delivery by 24-Dec

Cutoffs may shift slightly based on carrier capacity. Watch our Instagram / newsletter for updates.

Pre-Orders and Backorders

Some items are listed as "Pre-order" or "Backorder":

  • Pre-order: ship date is in the product description (typically 4-8 weeks out)
  • Backorder: temporarily out of stock; ship 7-21 days after stock arrives
  • You'll see expected ship date BEFORE you pay
  • You can cancel a pre-order for full refund anytime BEFORE we ship
